Hi, I’m Jen Sweeney, a.k.a. The Midlife Master. When I hit age 43, I started to experience weight gain, mood swings, exhaustion, and sleepless nights. My first thought was: what’s going on here? As a long-time patient advocate and healthcare insider, I was baffled by the medical community's utter cluelessness on the perimenopause symptoms I was experiencing. I took it upon myself to do the research, find the facts, and make it easier for myself and other women to get through perimenopause in one piece. Then, I did something really heroic, really crazy, or both:
